TransitionZero joins Energy Transition Council as a delivery partner to its Rapid Response Facility
London, UK, Tuesday 15th December 2022: The climate data non-profit TransitionZero has become a delivery partner to the Energy Transition Council (ETC)’s Rapid Response Facility (RRF).
The ETC is a multilateral platform bringing together over 30 governments, multilateral development banks, technical partners, and international organisations. The ETC works with 11 partner countries in the Global South with energy transition challenges and opportunities, including Bangladesh, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Laos, Kenya, Pakistan, Philippines, Morocco, Nigeria, and V1.
The ETC’s RRF is a program delivering fast-acting and demand-driven technical assistance to address transition barriers and unlock larger-scale, longer-term finance. So far, the RRF is responding to 32 requests for technical assistance, across the 11 ETC partner countries, through its delivery partners (over 25).
As a delivery partner, TransitionZero will use its data, modelling, and analytical capabilities to assist RRF partner countries with transition challenges in their electricity sectors. Already, TransitionZero will potentially contribute to a technical request on power plant financial modelling to manage transition risk.
